iMob Game: An iPhone Game you Can’t Refuse
January 23, 2009 | Tagged application, bug, crash, game, imob, iPhone, ipod touch, itunes, support, twitter | 1 Comment

It plays like an old turn based role playing game, but utilizes the online community well by allowing people to message others in real time, join up to create mobs, take out contracts on each other and even use GPS location to join other mobsters close by.
When you first start playing, you will definitely notice some bugs and even occasional crashes. The developers are aware of the server issues and are working to catch up with the increasing popularity. While this makes the game not high on my usability list, the pure fun and addictiveness of the game and its simple interface portends a game that I will go back to again and again to check my status.
That is a good sign as I often find myself looking at those unused icons on my ‘other screens’ on the iPod and wondering what it is and why I ever downloaded it.
NOTE TO SELF: delete old iPhone applications I am not using more frequently.
The developers are on Twitter and give updates as well as answer questions.
The main support site is at imobapp.com
The app is free and can be downloaded at the iTunes app store
When you get there, be sure to invite me to your mob with my friend code: 128322649
