Tomorrow (March 17, 2009), the new iPhone 3.0 software will be revealed and explained in Cupertino and there has been plenty of hubbub since the inception of the iPhone asking for new features. Here is an article listing the top 15.
- System wide custom cut/copy/paste
- Push notifications/background apps
- Landscape mode in every app
- Mail improvements
- Sync notes & To-dos
- Better app organization
- Customizable tones
- Full Bluetooth support
- MMS improvement
- Video capture
- Turn by turn directions
- Application data sharing and syncing
- Include spotlight for iPhone
- Use as a modem
- Voice dialing
The two I would say are definite ‘must haves’ would be:
- cut/copy/paste
- running multiple apps
The one that I didn’t see mentioned in the article (although it was in a comment) was the ability to run flash.
If you are really interested, be sure to listen in when they make their announcements tomorrow, you can monitor Macworld. com or follow them on their Twitter feed.
