  • UZ blog QR code

We have truly moved into the mobile future. I did not even know that I had a QR code for my blog. Once I found it, I did some research and realized we can get QR codes for anything. It simply requires creating a link and then generating the code.

For those who don’t know what it is; A QR Code is a matrix code (or two-dimensional bar code) created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. The “QR” is derived from “Quick Response”, as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed. QR Codes are common in Japan, where they are currently the most popular type of two dimensional codes. Moreover, most current Japanese mobile phones can read this code with their camera. They have been popping up in magazines and on products over the past couple of years here in the states.

There are several applications for the iPhone to read the codes including iMatrix, iCandy and others.
